Centennial celebrates the hardwork and talent of its paraprofessionals, cooks, custodians, bus drivers, front office staff, and coaches by announcing the 2020 Education Support Professional of the Year: Mrs. Amanda Herrera-Payne.
Mrs. Herrera-Payne is Centennial Data/Instructional coach, who supports teachers in identifying where a student is academically and guides the development of instructional practices to support at-risk student's growth towards grade-level mastery. Amanda's focus is elementary literacy, yet she is quick to lend a hand anywhere in the building. She is often seen helping sanitize the tables during lunch, supporting custodial staff when there is an absence, or providing on the fly instruction in classrooms waiting for a sub. Mrs. Herrera-Payne and her family also donate planners and other materials each year to our elementary classrooms. Amanda does all this with a smile on her face and desire to help make Centennial stronger in her heart. We are grateful to have her back with us making Centennial shine.
