Good afternoon Centennial parents. The middle school volleyball game scheduled for Tuesday, September 21 is rescheduled for Monday, October 4th. Please take note of this change.

Transportation Update: Anthony and Toby's bus routes providing service to Knot's Landing, Old San Acacio, New San Acacio, Mesita, Jaroso, and Garcia are cancelled today to provide service for middle school and high school athletic events. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Centennial families, Parent Teacher Conferences are rescheduled for Thursday, September 30th. With the recent rise in COVID cases in our community, we wanted to avoid having these important conferences on the same night as athletic events and the board meeting. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Update: There was a positive COVID case on campus. Everyone who had close contact has been contacted by the school and will be contacted by Public Health for quarantining info. Keep practicing safety measures to keep everyone on campus safe. Wear a mask, social distance, and wash your hands. Thanks!

Good evening! The vaccine bus will be in the Centennial Parking lot tomorrow, August 25, from 3-7pm. This may be the last time for awhile the bus makes it here. Come and get vaccinated if you are not already. Use the attached QR code to register. Vaccinations are also available regularly from Costilla County Public Health.

Good evening Centennial families, We learned today there was a positive COVID case on the Centennial campus yesterday in the High School. We have worked with Public Health to determine anyone who was potentially exposed and sent them home for quarantining. Public Health will follow up with these families. We want to thank our students and staff for doing their best to always wear a mask and maintain 3 foot social distancing. Because of this, it is a small potential exposure group. Keep up the good work to keep our school and community safe.

The Vaccine Bus will be at Centennial this Wednesday, August 18 from 9-12. People who get vaccinated can get a $100 gift card. Students aged 12-17 can get an additional $50 gift card from the Land Rights Council if vaccinated. Let's do our part to slow this virus.

Reminder: Please pass this information on to your high school student athlete. Today is the first official practice for fall sports. If your child is interested in participating, they should have filled out this google form https://forms.gle/NvKLysZF51x6Chhe7 . Athletes should have a current physical on file in order to participate in practice. If you plan on playing football, please attend practice at Sierra Grande today at 4:15 to receive necessary information and documents and to sign up for season. Good afternoon Centennial high school families. The first official practice for fall sports begins tomorrow, Monday, August 9th. Volleyball practice will begin at 4:30 p.m. Please enter through the East side main gym entrance where each athlete will be Covid screened. Please wear a mask. Football practice will begin at 4:15 at Sierra Grande school. Please email me at rserna@centennialschool.net if you need transportation. A sport physical is required for practice. It is valid for 365 days from date completed. I need all athletes to fill out the google form that I sent out if you have not done so yet. This is mandatory.
