Reminder for families that our Centennial Middle School and High School Athletic Banquet is coming up on May 4 at 6:00 PM. We are excited to come together and celebrate our student athletes and all of their hard work this year.

This is a potluck event with the school providing the main dish. Please help by bringing the following based on your team:
Middle School – Drinks
High School Volleyball – Salads
High School Cross Country – Desserts
High School Girls Basketball – Fruit or veggie trays
High School Boys Basketball – Side dishes
High School Track – Paper goods (plates, cups, cutlery)

Student athletes in grades 6–12 should have received a printed invitation, but we wanted to share a reminder here as well just in case it did not make it home.

Hi 4th and 5th Grade Families,

Due to the high chances of snow along the I-25 corridor and even higher levels of accumulation predicted for areas like La Veta Pass over the next 48 hours, we have made the decision to postpone tomorrow’s field trip.

While we know this is disappointing, travel conditions through higher elevations may become unsafe, and student safety is our top priority. We are working to reschedule and will share a new date as soon as it is confirmed.

Reminder: There is an early release tomorrow at 1:00 pm for all students. Staff will engage in professional development during the afternoon. All buses will run their usual routes at 1:00.

The Centennial R-1 Board of Education will hold its regular board meeting on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 6:30 pm. There will be a Board work session before the meeting, beginning at 5:30 pm. Meetings will be held in the Centennial Library. The public is encouraged to attend.

We wanted to share an update on our field trip to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. We did try to reschedule the trip for tomorrow, but unfortunately there were not enough available slots. The next available date is May 13th, so that is when we will now plan to attend.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding. We appreciate your support as we work through scheduling changes and still provide this opportunity for our students. We will share any additional details as we get closer to the new date.

Tomorrow’s field trip to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo has been postponed due to high winds.
Student safety comes first, and current conditions are not ideal for travel or a full day outdoors.
We will keep you updated as we finalize a new date. Possible reschedule dates include April 27th or 28th.
