Red Ribbon Week is coming October 26–29, and we have a full week of fun activities planned! This year’s theme is “Make a Difference, Be a Hero, and Stay Sober!” Throughout the week, we will encourage our students to make healthy choices, stay drug-free, and be positive role models in their school and community.
We are excited to welcome guest presenters who will share important information with our students:
Monday, October 26: SLV Behavioral Health Group will present on suicide awareness.
Tuesday, October 27: The Colorado State Patrol will present on the dangers of driving under the influence and the importance of staying sober.
Please see the spirit week schedule below and encourage your students to participate in the daily dress-up activities!

We are way overdue for an art class photo dump! It has been a whirlwind six weeks, and our students have been creating beautiful work in the art room. Their growth from year to year is inspiring to see. Our school may be small, but we are bursting at the seams with talent!

We have exciting news for Centennial! Our school has been awarded a $790,000 DOLA grant, with an additional $205,000 investment from the school, to improve our schoolyards and create more outdoor spaces for students and our community.
Plans include new elementary and middle school playground equipment, outdoor classrooms, and a walking trail connecting 9th Street to the school. We’re partnering with the Costilla Conservation District and Soul Players, and now we want to hear from you. We are unable to use funds for any athletic spaces including the baseball field and track.
Students, staff, and community members: please take a few minutes to share what you’d like to see in the six proposed spaces. Your ideas will help shape what comes next!

A huge congratulations go out to our Cross Country Team! Our boys Cross Country Team placed 2nd at the 10th Annual Tommy Archuleta meet in Antonito yesterday.
We had four of our runners finish in the top 15 and Bajung came in 1st overall! All of our runners, junior high, and high school, all set personal records during yesterdays meet!
