We have exciting news for Centennial! Our school has been awarded a $790,000 DOLA grant, with an additional $205,000 investment from the school, to improve our schoolyards and create more outdoor spaces for students and our community.
Plans include new elementary and middle school playground equipment, outdoor classrooms, and a walking trail connecting 9th Street to the school. We’re partnering with the Costilla Conservation District and Soul Players, and now we want to hear from you. We are unable to use funds for any athletic spaces including the baseball field and track.
Students, staff, and community members: please take a few minutes to share what you’d like to see in the six proposed spaces. Your ideas will help shape what comes next!

We had four of our runners finish in the top 15 and Bajung came in 1st overall! All of our runners, junior high, and high school, all set personal records during yesterdays meet!

Thursday, September 17th is an Early Release Day for all PK–12 students at 1:00 PM. Parent-Teacher Conferences will begin at 2:00 PM. We look forward to connecting with our families and celebrating our students’ progress!

Our Lady Rams will be playing their first Volleyball game since the tragic passing of beloved teammate Chanell Vigil tomorrow night at Antonito. The game time is at 6:30, not 5:00 as previously posted.
Antonito will be honoring Chanell with a Pink Out in her memory.

The services to celebrate the life and light of Chanell Vigil will be on Monday, September 14 at 11:00a in the main gym at Centennial.
Prior to the funeral Mass, there will be a recitation of the Rosary at the Catholic Church in Costilla, New Mexico, on Sunday, September 13 at 6:00p.
There will also be a candlelight vigil on Friday, September 11 at 7:15p at the San Luis Town Plaza as the sun sets over San Luis. Please join Chanell's family to remember her in love and light.
We are cancelling school on Monday, September 14, so our students, staff, coaches, families, and community can grieve with the family as one.
Centennial School will be closed in Observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 7, 2026.
