The Colorado State Board is seeking input from all families to better understand why parents choose all varieties of school options (e.g., traditional public school, charter, online, homeschool, other) and what educational programs, services, and resources they use to support their students.

The information gathered through this survey will play an important role in informing the upcoming State Board rulemaking processes and legislative priorities for part-time homeschool programs, online schools and beyond.

Just as importantly, it will help policymakers better understand the diverse needs and choices of all families as they consider how state funding and resources can best support students and families.

Your perspective is important. The more families who participate, the more accurately the survey will reflect the strength, opinions, and needs of all communities across Colorado.

The Centennial R-1 Board of Education will hold its regular board meeting on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. A Work Session will be held before the meeting at 5:30 p.m. The meetings will be held in the Centennial Library. The public is encouraged to attend.

Just a reminder that secondary registration is this week. Tonight is Junior and Senior registration from 3:00-7:00 pm. Tomorrow is registration for all 7th-10th grade students from 3:00-7:00 pm.

Sports physicals are this evening from 4:00-7:00 pm for all middle school and high school students. A current physical is required to begin practice for any season.

At the June 22 Board of Education meeting, the Board adopted a revised Cell Phone policy that continues the current policy of not allowing cell phones for elementary and middle school students during the day and for high school students only at lunch. There is a revised section allowing the use of over-the-ear headphones when permitted by teachers during non-instructional times at the high school level.
